Abstract: Students in secondary ischool must acquire a large collection of English words based on their English subjects. To ensure adequate acquisition of vocabulary for students, teachers must use appropriate teaching methods and help students to learn effectively. Modern day technology has revolutionized the classroom by offering various tools that can enhance the learning process. For the purpose of learning vocabulary, Quizlet has been deemed an effective application by numerous researchers. This study investigates the perceptions that students at UK Academy in Ba Ria have about the use and effectiveness of using Quizlet for vocabulary learning. The study makesiuse ofithe mixed-method through a questionnaire distributed to 50 sixth-grade students and interviews that were conducted with 10 ofithe students. The quantitative data was analyzedibased on means, standard de viations, and percentage responses of the participants, whereas the iqualitative data was analyzed thematically. The findings showed that students perceive the use of Quizlet for learning vocabulary as being convenient, enjoyable, and useful. Furthermore, students perceive Quizlet as an effective tool for learning vocabulary as they believe that it helps them to improve their vocabulary and is superior to traditional vocabulary learning methods. The researcher recommends that future research focus on the problems that students experience when using Quizlet and investigate the perceptions of students in areas excluding BaiRia.
