dc.description.abstractZoom has been used as a prevalent tool in English teaching and learning in Vietnam. The current study aimed to examine teachers’ and Grade 8 students’ perception towards the use of Zoom in teaching and learning and to address the barriers encountered by the teachers and students. The researcher employed a mixed-methods approach with the use of questionnaires and interviewsto obtain her research objectives. 150 Grade 8 students and ten teachers at Chau Thanh secondary school were selected as research participants. Data collected research instruments revealed that (1) students showed their positive perception towards the use of Zoom; (2) major barriers of using Zoom perceived by teachers (3) major barriers of using Zoom perceived by students.
