Tác giả: Schartl, Wolfgang
Tóm tắt: Classical thermodynamics provides a phenomenological approach towards energy transfer, phase equilibria and chemical equilibria. As a macroscopic approach, it is not related to the microscopic properties of matter (atoms, molecules). These microscopic properties of matter, on the other hand, have to be described using quantum chemistry. Here, statistical thermodynamics provides the connection between the macroscopic physicochemical quantities addressed in classical thermodynamics, and the microscopic quantum chemical description of matter. To calculate the properties of molecules as predicted by quantum chemistry, on the other hand, we need certain input parameters such as the chemical bond strengths or chemical bond lengths, quantities which can experimentally be determined by optical spectroscopy. This booklet tries to provide an overview on this topic, organized in three separate chapters: statistical thermodynamics, optical spectroscopy, and group theory/symmetry analysis.2015-01-01T00:00:00ZMolecular Conformations - eBooks and textbooks from bookboon.comWood, Christopherhttp://thuvienso.bvu.edu.vn/handle/TVDHBRVT/155622016-12-02T20:00:27Z2010-01-01T00:00:00ZNhan đề: Molecular Conformations - eBooks and textbooks from bookboon.com
Tác giả: Wood, Christopher
Tóm tắt: Molecular Conformations introduces the fundamental physical and biochemical concepts that determine the conformation of a protein. The book starts by describing how DNA is converted into proteins and then continues with those factors that influence conformational change in a protein.2010-01-01T00:00:00ZMicro- and Nano-Transport of Biomolecules - eBooks and textbooks from bookboon.comBakewell, Davidhttp://thuvienso.bvu.edu.vn/handle/TVDHBRVT/155612016-12-02T20:00:25Z2009-01-01T00:00:00ZNhan đề: Micro- and Nano-Transport of Biomolecules - eBooks and textbooks from bookboon.com
Tác giả: Bakewell, David
Tóm tắt: This e-book introduces the reader to biomolecules and describes the experimental and theoretical aspects of their micro- and nano-scale motion in water. Particular emphasis is given to their transport in engineered micro-environments where they are driven by externally imposed electric fields. Envisaged application technologies of this wide-ranging science involve healthcare, food provisioning, environmental services, etc. The e-book is generally intended for undergraduate students studying chemical, life, physical and engineering sciences, and also interdisciplinary researchers.2009-01-01T00:00:00ZMembrane filtration processes - eBooks and textbooks from bookboon.comJaffrin, Michelhttp://thuvienso.bvu.edu.vn/handle/TVDHBRVT/155602016-12-02T20:00:24Z2015-01-01T00:00:00ZNhan đề: Membrane filtration processes - eBooks and textbooks from bookboon.com
Tác giả: Jaffrin, Michel
Tóm tắt: This book describes the various filtration processes using membranes such as microfiltration, ultrafiltration, nanofiltration, reverse osmosis. Basic fluid mechanics concepts are reviewed in order to permit to describe the flow inside filtration modules and their circuits. It provides methods for calculating permeate fluxes, pressure drops and shear rates, both in laminar and turbulent flows and to model flows in industrial systems. It reviews the main applications of membrane filtration in dairy and food industries, in medical and biotechnological applications and waste water treatment. It describes a technico-economic method for minimizing process costs. The last chapter describes the recent concept of dynamic filtration with rotating or vibrating membranes which is very efficient, together with available industrial modules.2015-01-01T00:00:00Z
